Our Roots

While our roots are deep in corn, soybeans, and alfalfa, we've also got the know-how to help with specialty crops, wheat, and cotton. Whatever you grow, we're here to help you make the most of it.

Soil Sampling

Soil sampling is one of the most important, money-making steps in farming especially when you’re trying to push 100-bushel beans and 300-bushel corn without wasting fertilizer.

Why Soil Sampling Matters

1. You can’t manage what you don’t measure.

A good sample tells you:

  • How much P, K, S, Zn, Mn, Cu, B, etc. you ACTUALLY have
  • What’s tied up vs. available
  • Your pH and CEC (which drives how you build a program)
  • Organic matter → how much free nitrogen you’ll get

2. It keeps fertilizer dollars working the right places.

When you know the exact parts of the field that need help, you can:

  • Stop over-applying on the good zones
  • Stop under-applying on the weak zones

3. It’s the foundation of every ROI decision.

Before you talk about:

  • In-furrow products
  • Foliar feeding
  • Side-dress nitrogen
  • Micro packs

You MUST know the base. Soil tests tell you where the limiting factor is. Fix the limiting factor and yields climb fast.

4. It shows long-term trends.

Sampling every year (or every 2 at a minimum) lets you see:

  • Are your K levels sliding?
  • Is pH creeping down?
  • Are micros building?
  • Did that manure actually help?

You can’t improve what you don’t track.
